Like the ubiquitous Facebook ‘like’ button, Google has launched an experimental feature ‘+1 Button’
. It is basically a recommendation service that for the first phase of release will only be limited to the Google search page. Later it will be another button all over the web (expected) that will enable you to share the stuff you see online. Google would definitely work hard to avoid privacy issues that it faced just after a few days of release of Buzz.
To enable it for your Google account you can visit the Google experimental page in Google Labs and click on join. Remember you cannot use two experimental services at a time.
Note: The +1 button will take some time/days to appear with your search results. Be patient.
Meanwhile have a look at the video.

Wednesday is hereby declared as the day of a quick tip on mrpant.com. Watch out for awesome new tips and tricks every Wednesday.
Today you’ll learn how to use your browser address bar to do everything. Use it for: searching mp3s, files on file sharing websites, shorten URLs, update twitter and anything new you can come up with. Use this trick without the use of any add-on. Here is how to set it up for the first time on Firefox.
Firefox (eg: search MP3s)
–Open bookmarks organizer and add a new bookmark. To keep your custom searches organized new bookmark folder and name it something like ‘custom search’. We have to just focus on the Name, Location and Keyword boxes here.
–enter the Name eg: ‘MP3 search’
–For location: Get the URL in the address bar after doing a dummy search. Then replace just the dummy text with %s in the URL. Copy this link.
–Now enter the Keyword. This is the word you’ll use in the address bar as a prefix to the search you are making. eg: mp3 (for this case)
To search mp3s, just type in ‘mp3 name of the song’ in the address bar.
For Chrome you can right-click the address bar, select edit custom search engines and follow the same steps.
