Google’s new URL shortener
Dec 14th
Google launched its own URL shortening service Today. Not that its something very big, you can make one at your own domain: Tutorial by Shoutmeloud. Its called Goo.gl. Now the google toolbar will share any new link using its URL shortener.

Google claims this service to be better than others due to its:
1. Stability: Google’s scalable, multi-datacenter infrastructure provides great uptime and a reliable service to our users.
2. Security: As we do with web search, shortened URLs are automatically checked to detect sites that may be malicious and warn users when the short URL resolves to such sites.
3. Speed: At Google we like fast products and we’ve worked hard to ensure this service is quick. We’ll continue to iterate and improve the speed of Google Url Shortener.
Currently the service isn’t available directly like tinyurl, bit.ly, su.pr or tr.im. URLs can only be shortened by using the toolbar. Also feedburner can use it.
try it for Toolbar and FeedBurner!
